"Aiya!" is a a Chinese interjection meaning surprise or disappointment.
Aiya! Moments is a blog I created for a communication course in which I am currently enrolled. I thought it would be interesting to share with you about the hilarious interactions I encountered in America. Meanwhile, I will also write about some tips and advice based on my experience to international students abroad.

My name is Shirley and I created Aiya! Moments in the summer of 2013. I was born and raised in Taiwan until 3rd grade, then I spent ten years living in Shanghai, China. I am currently studying at university in America. I speak Mandarin Chinese, English, and Japanese.
